Fall of 2020 – Week 6

This week, my goal was increasing the spread between my easy run and workout paces by doing the former slower. I ran Sunday’s long run so hard that afterward, the Garmin Recovery Advisor suggested four easy days! But I ran a great speed workout and medium-long run two and four days later.

Fall of 2020 – Week 5

The start of a new training cycle is always so exciting! I was able to stick to the schedule as planned and completed 50 miles total. By Saturday, every muscle in my body hurt! And, I despite telling myself I had closure, I felt a slight sting of missing out watching running friends complete their Boston Marathon Virtual Experience.

Summer of 2020 – Week 14

This was another recovery week. But first, I attempted a 15-miler on Sunday to see if I was prepared to run 26.2 miles for the 2020 Boston Marathon Virtual Experience next weekend. (I decided I was not.) On Friday, I returned to working on-site one day a week and commuted by bicycle!
