On Tuesday, I completed the RunWashington Distance Derby Strava Challenge segment on Hains Point as my weekly speedwork. On Thursday, I finished my medium-long run in a relatively rapid 9:32 pace!
Continue readingThe start of a new training cycle is always so exciting! I was able to stick to the schedule as planned and completed 50 miles total. By Saturday, every muscle in my body hurt! And, I despite telling myself I had closure, I felt a slight sting of missing out watching running friends complete their Boston Marathon Virtual Experience.
Continue readingThis was another recovery week. But first, I attempted a 15-miler on Sunday to see if I was prepared to run 26.2 miles for the 2020 Boston Marathon Virtual Experience next weekend. (I decided I was not.) On Friday, I returned to working on-site one day a week and commuted by bicycle!
Continue readingThis was the last week of Phase 3 of Daniel’s Running Formula’s half marathon training plan! Meanwhile, I missed the registration deadline for the virtual London Marathon and after 22 weeks of teleworking, prepared to return to on-site in September.
Continue readingRunning was much more enjoyable this week as I paced my workouts at my current fitness rather than my past. It was the last week of Phase II of the Daniels’ Running Formula’s half marathon plan and I decided to continue working on speed rather than graduating to marathon training.
Continue readingMy right foot was so sore that I opted for a bike ride on Sunday instead of a long run. It was fun seeing the roads that I’ve traveled from a different perspective. I managed an interval workout on the track on Tuesday and Thursday, though.
